New Zealand Faith Community Nurses Association Incorporated

Faith community nurses are currently registered nurses who provide holistic care to individuals and whanau/families using nursing knowledge combined with spiritual care. They practice within a church pastoral setting and provide an outreach ministry to their local community. The purpose of the organization is to offer training for this speciality and to advise Church bodies about this specialist ministry. Activities: 1. Acts as a resource body: provides advice / information / advocacy. 2. Liaises with other health related organizations, using formal and informal links to work together at common goals. Such organisations includes Christian Medical Fellowship NZ and Nurses Christian Fellowship NZ 3. Encourages nurses working in a post-Covid atmosphere by the provision of regular online meetings/education sessions to promote spiritual and professional wellbeing. Members and interested health professionals as well as clergy are invited to these gatherings.
