The purposes of Neuroendocrine Cancer New Zealand are to: (a) Provide community and network for those people and families who are, or have been affected by neuroendocrine cancers; (b) Communicate medical and scientific information about neuroendocrine cancers to the public; (c) Advance and promote medical knowledge, understanding and education on neuroendocrine cancers; (d) Initiate, facilitate, co-ordinate and encourage scientific research activity in neuroendocrine cancer aetiology, genetics, natural history and disease modifying treatments, both nationally and internationally; and (e) Help promote the use of, facilitate, and where possible assist in funding improved access to the best diagnostic tests available for neuroendocrine cancer patients.
