About McCahon House Trust
The McCahon House Trust was established in 1999, to recognise the life and art of Colin McCahon during the transformative period the family lived in Titirangi 1953 – 1960.
This is achieved through offering Parehuia, a residency of international standing, and preserving the McCahon House Museum as a place for the public to visit.
Since 2019, the Trust has strengthened its focus on McCahon’s legacy as a gifted teacher, and also that of our Alumni, in new ways that connect cultural legacy and advance contemporary art practice in Aotearoa through education and international engagement.
