The purpose of the Trust will be to provide support that will relieve the charitable needs of children and families dealing with Neurofibromatosis. In particular the Trust will: 3.1 Establish a nationwide Neurofibromatosis drive to increase the awareness. Using all forms of media. 3.2 Provide multidisciplinary tertiary grants to post graduate students studying at a recognised New Zealand university/institution who are researching Neurofibromatosis 3.3 To promote health of individuals suffering from Neurofibromatosis by helping to relieve the stress experienced by families who are dealing with Neurofibromatosis. This includes but is not limited to retreats or family based weekends away. 3.4 To relieve poverty by assisting with day-to-day household expenses and funeral costs of terminal cases to NF families in poverty. 3.5 Provide other support and assistance as the Trustees from time to time determine consistent with the charitable purposes of the trust.
