To protect indigenous species and the natural environment / te taiao in Kapiro, a rural area in the Far North. This includes: planting native trees; creating ecological corridors; protecting bittern/matuku, kiwi and other at-risk species; controlling predators; supporting Predator-Free NZ; controlling weeds; addressing sources of water pollution and sediment; putting up fencing; restoring native habitat, wetlands and waterways; increasing biodiversity; inspiring local communities and working with DOC, tangata whenua and others to protect at-risk species and the natural environment
