1. To assist social, economic and environmental development through the establishment, maintenance and continued activities of a global network of practitioners who enhance the use of evidence in policy formation and implementation at all levels of governmental policy making from local to global, and to help develop individual and institutional capacities to achieve this. 2. To promote the role that science can play in the advancement of society internationally. 3. To assist the ISC in its role to promote science as a global public good.
