Hauraki Rail Trail Charitable Trust

The Trust is responsible for the development , management, operation and the promotion of the Hauraki Rail Trail and its facilities and obtaining the necessary funding to do this, Specific responsibilities of the trust include:

- Developing and maintaining a website for the purpose of promoting the Hauraki Rail Trail.

-Granting and managing concessions to any commercial users of the Hauraki Rail Trail.

-Managing the Hauraki Trail Brand

-Obtaining funding to develop and construct extensions to the Hauraki Rail Trail such as the Kaiaua ta kopu section.

-Overseeing internet protocol such as website addresses

-In undertaking its responsibilities, the trust must take reasonable steps to protect any areas of spiritual and cultural significance to mana whenua.
