-Support, develop and grow communities, people and whānau through the coaching and provision of water sports, specifically but not limited to waka ama and stand up board paddling. - Support and develop rangatahi/youth through the coaching and provision of water sports - Strive to make positive and substantial contributions to waka ama development - Provide programmes to match the needs of paddlers, coaches and volunteers - Pioneer adaptive waka ama paddling for the disability community - Promote water safety as a priority - Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining strong values and tikanga base in all that it does - Develop and maintain and support networks locally, nationally and internationally - Acquire quality equipment for the benefit of Haeata Ocean Sport members and others
