Generations Connect NZ works to strengthen intergenerational connection across Aotearoa New Zealand so people of all ages can build meaningful relationships, share knowledge and experience, and contribute within their communities.

We support communities, organisations and individuals to create, strengthen and sustain intergenerational connection through advocacy, collaboration, practical resources, shared learning and co-design. Where there is an unmet need, we may also develop or support new initiatives, while avoiding duplication of good work that is already happening.

Our focus is on building long-term capability, stronger partnerships and practical pathways that help intergenerational approaches become more sustainable, accessible and valued in everyday community life. By strengthening both community-led activity and wider intergenerational practice, we aim to create lasting impact beyond any one initiative or project.
