Friends of 42 Traverse Incorporated

The 42 Traverse is an old logging road running across the Tongariro Forest. The Department of Conservation manage the Tongariro Forest with the 42 Traverse as the only route currently allowing vehicle use. Friends of 42 Traverse is an incorporated society who's purpose is to sustain the route for vehicles and other recreational users. We engage with a wide variety of users and user groups to encourage a philosophy of working together to keep this unique route available.
