Flaxbourne Heritage Trust

Prior to the 7.8 Earthquake of Nov 16, the local Museum of the Flaxbourne area was in a locked building and an archive of materials gathered and documented largely by volunteers , and administered through the Flaxbourne settlers association for the community. The loss of this building to that Earthquake and the saving of the vast amount of Flaxbourne historical memorabilia and artefacts provides the opportunity to better display and tell the stories, keeping alive the rich heritage of this area
