The intent is that up to $450,000 will be distributed annually. To the extent that accumulated fund exceeds the original settlements, adjusted for inflation, then those reserves can be accessed to maintain the targeted grant level. Until the trustees determine otherwise, grants are to be restricted to three charitable purposes, namely palliative care, agricultural education & child protection.
