The purpose of the CPVFB is to undertake fire prevention measures as deemed necessary and to respond to and extinguish fires in vegetation within its designated area of responsibility for the benefit of the community. The CPVFB will also respond to non-fire emergencies as required. Where practicable, the CPVFB will also be available to assist other brigades under control of FENZ.
