2. To encourage community ownership of crime and the sharing of the responsibility for shaping responses with community social services, voluntary groups and agencies

To develop programmes and raise awareness of crime prevention and community safety in five areas a) to reduce the opportunity for crime b) to deter people from criminal activity c) to educate against the fear of crime d) to assist in the administration of community patrols in the Cambridge area e) to support good neighbourly relationships and thereby enhance community safety
