To encourage and promote in New Zealand the learnings of the teachings of the Buddhist religion and respect the Triple Gems and Dhamma for the benefit of all living beings wherein all its members will strive for peace and harmony of the world and well-being of the living beings. To Co-operate assist and provide moral and financial assistance in research and propagation of the Buddhist religion and teachings modernization of classical sutras including liaisons and inter-relations between members and other people who are disciples of Buddhism in New Zealand. To provide for each member and other people within New Zealand who are disciples of Buddhist teachings facilities of all descriptions which the society shall think fit and generally to promote and facilitate social cultivation charitable and other social activities for its members and such other persons.
