"To improve and maintain the best possible respiratory health for all people living in Marlborough with respiratory conditions irrespective of age or ethnicity. Serious respiratory illnesses continue to make a substantial contribution to New Zealand’s health burden. It is estimated that over 700,000 New Zealanders take medication for a respiratory condition and that respiratory diseases account for 1 in 8 of all hospitalisations in New Zealand including 23,000 admissions for children. Asthma Marlborough is committed to supporting those people in our community who have a respiratory condition. We will target our programs and initiatives to those most in need and will advocate for improved equity of care across all ethnicity.
