The purposes of the Trust are as follows:

4.1.1 Provide educational opportunities to help young New Zealanders build their leadership capacity.

4.1.2 Promote the voluntary sector for the benefit of the public by identifying needs in youth-led voluntary organisations and charities and establishing projects or policies to address them.

4.1.3 Encourage young New Zealanders to volunteer their time and skills to projects that benefit their communities.

4.1.4 To do all such other acts and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects.
