AMTBNZ has set up clear purpose at the Deed of trust of AMTBNZ which states AMTBNZ is set up for exclusively charitable purposes, to provide learning centre for Buddhist and non Buddhist to learn and practice Buddhism; To provide education program; to establish Buddhist Library and distribution centre to distribute Buddhism related materials; to organize and/or sponsor public talks, seminars etc; to promote multicultural understanding between different religious, ethnic groups according to Buddha “we are all one entity”; to be the spiritual body to guide, assist and care for all sentient being in general and aged sentient being in particular; to provide relief to people who are poor, in need, aged or suffering hardship etc; all things incidental to the charitable purpose described etc.
