About Akaroa Community Health Trust
The Trustees hold the Trust Fund on trust to pay or apply so much of the capital and income of the Trust Fund as the Trustees think fit exclusively for or towards any one or more of the following and exclusively charitable purposes, which are declared to be the purposes of the Trust, namely:
- To establish, in collaboration with the local Iwi and Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB), an Integrated Family Health Centre for the provision of a range of integrated medical, health and disability services for the people of the Akaroa Community and for the people from surrounding districts and visitors to the Akaroa Community, such services include but not limited to:
1. primary and secondary health care services;
2. After hours medical and acute care services;
3. Residential care for elderly people;
4. Antenatal, postnatal and postpartum services;
5. Physiotherapy services;
6. Any medical and health care and/or services
