To provide an independent, consumer orientated and driven advocacy service for consumers of Health and Disability Services. To assist consumers of Health and Disability Services to ensure that their legal, human and cultural rights are upheld by the providers of such services. To assist consumers of Health and Disability Services to resolve concerns and/or complaints about service providers at the earliest opportunity and with the people involved. To maintain an understanding and knowledge of service provision decisions which may impact on consumers of Health and Disability Services. To ensure that Health and Disability Services providers are made aware of consumer perspectives and needs at a local and regional level when changes to provision of Health and Disability Services are being considered.
