A-Kiwa Charitable Trust

A-Kiwa Trust was established initially to promote the sport of Weightlifting to youth in rural areas such as Gisborne and the East Coast. Weightlifting is a traditional Olympic sport and creates opportunities and avenues for youth to compete nationally and internationally. The trading name of Turanga strong weightlifting club was used as one branch off the trust. Another goal of the trust is to create opportunities outside of weightlifting to promote health and wellbeing of the community also.
