4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 the promotion of equality and diversity to eliminate prejudice and lack of acceptance felt by those with Down Syndrome from the general public by utilising various media to put positive, modern representations of individuals with Down Syndrome into the public domain. 4.2 the relief of those of need by reason of disability by the provision of support to pre-natal, new and existing parents of children with Down Syndrome through the provision of positive literature, parent-led presentations and online support services. and 4.3 the advancement of education by informing professionals in public and private organisations about Down Syndrome. Including, but not limited to, how best to engage with them and their families as well as the benefits of employing them within their organisation.
