1. To promote and provide for the benefit of the residents of the community of Whitlawburn, Cambuslang and its environs, by association with the local authority, voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said residents 2. To promote the relief of poverty of the residents of the community of Whitlawburn, Cambuslang
