The Greater Shankill Men Shed is established to promote personal development, positive mental health and physical activities for the benefit of individuals and families from North and West Belfast and it’s surrounding environment in County Antrim (herein after called the area of benefit) to advance the health, well-being and education of its members by providing a safe and happy environment where its members can, in the company of others, (i) pursue hobbies, pastimes and interests, (ii) learn new skills, practise and pass on old skills, (iii) promote their own and other men’s health and well-being, (iv) by their efforts, benefit their families, their friends, The Organization and their local community. (v) promote the mentoring of younger men. (a)To promote and develop an awareness of personal, mental and physical well- being. (b) To develop and run programmes for the betterment, education, encouragement, empowerment, self-esteem of its members, their families and the community at large. (c) To promote and develop social employment schemes for its members, families and the betterment of the community at large. (d) To promote and develop educational and skill programmes for its members, families and the betterment of the community at large.
