The aims and objectives of the Association shall be: i) to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a COImal effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare, fbr recreation and for leisure time occupation. ii) to co-operate with the local statutory authority in the, maintenance and management of a Conmunity Centre where this exists for activities promoted by the Association in furtherance of the arove obj ects. iii) to foster a community spirit for the achievment of these and other such objects as may by, law be deerred to be charitable. b) The Associaticn shall be non-party in politics and non-secretarian in religion. The Association will automatically be a member of the local Federation of 'Community Association. c)The Association shall have power to affiliate to the National , Federation of Community Organisations.
