Purposes 4 The organisation’s purposes are: (a) To advance citizenship and community development by providing and maintaining facilities for youth groups, voluntary organisations, charities and community groups, particularly those serving communities in Shetland. (b) To provide recreational facilities and opportunities for the benefit of the public, encouraging participation, social interaction and wider life experiences through group accommodation and associated facilities for recreational, social and group activities. (c) To advance heritage by preserving, maintaining and safeguarding Voxter Outdoor Centre as a listed building of historic and architectural interest, for the benefit of the public and its continued use as a community and recreational facility.
