3. Purposes of the Trust The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income of it to pay and apply the same to or for the benefit of or in furtherance of the advancement of citizenship through the promotion of volunteering and the effectiveness and efficiency of charities by creating an endowed fund to enable the National Trust for Scotland (Scottish Charity Number SC007410) to attract and retain skilled and committed staff and volunteers by providing development and learning opportunities for appropriate knowledge, skills and experiences, including but not limited to vocational and professional training courses, management and leadership development, workshops, and mentoring. and such other similar charitable purposes or charitable institutions in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit.
