The organisation’s purposes are: To promote for the benefit of the residents of Girvan and its environment, without distinction of sex, political opinion or creed, by association with statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and individuals in a common effort to advance the citizenship, community development and educational needs of the people of Girvan through the provision of facilities for recreation and the organisation and development of recreational facilities and events with the purpose of improving the conditions of life for members of the community through the provision, maintenance and repair of a community building or buildings.
