to raise public awareness of Shackletons great achievements in the heroic age of Antarctic exploration and his unique qualities of leadership; to sponsor Antarctic research; to support Dulwich College in care of the boat James Caird and the Shackleton archives; to encourage young people to play an active role; to arrange meetings, lectures and exhibitions; to promote charitable activities.
