The purposes of the Trust are:- (a) To relieve the poverty, suffering and distress and to further the health of the inhabitants of the area known as and forming Greater Pollok, Glasgow. and (b) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Greater Pollok, Glasgow without distinction of political, religious or other opinions by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants thereof in a common effort to advance education and to provide, or assist in the provision of, facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the condition of life for the said inhabitants. In furtherance thereof but not otherwise, the Trust shall :- (i) promote or assist in the promotion of health care. (ii) provide and maintain, or assist in the provision and maintenance of, public amenities. (iii) protect and care for the natural environment. and (iv) do all things as will further the above objects.
