The purpose of the Trust is to promote and encourage the study, practice and knowledge of Scottish literature, to include, without limitation, publishing or funding the publication of Scottish literature, holding or sponsoring meetings open to the public to promote awareness and appreciation of Scottish literature and holding competitions or making awards or prizes to recognise effort and achievement in relation to the promotion of Scottish literature, together with any other purpose ancillary thereto.
