The Charity’s objects (‘the Objects’) are to advance the saving of lives and the prevention or relief of human suffering by reducing the number of people who die by suicide across Northern Ireland in particular but not exclusively by: (a) providing information and training on suicide prevention to create greater awareness of the warning signs and causes of suicide; (b) influencing policy and delivery in the field of suicide prevention, particularly with regard to the provision of prevention, intervention and support services in the area of benefit; (c) engaging with, promoting co-operation among, and establishing strategic partnerships between groups, organisations and agencies in the voluntary, community and statutory sectors; (d) providing emotional and practical support to those affected by suicide attempts and deaths.
