3. Company Objects: The Company has been formed to benefit the interests of the Community, with the Purposes listed in the sub-articles hereto below, to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development ( where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs), namely: 3.1 3.1.1 to advance health and well being by tackling the causes of fuel poverty and reducing energy bills for residents and businesses in the operating area. 3.1.2 to promote and support the reduction of the carbon footprint of the Community and the surrounding area. 3.1.3 to advance environmental protection and improvement by improving energy efficiency within the Community and the surrounding area. 3.1.4 to advance education on environmental issues and energy efficiency, particularly among the residents and businesses of the Community. and 3.1.5 the provision of recreational facilities within the Community, or the organisation of recreational activities within Community, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents and businesses of the Community.
