The organisation's purposes are: To improve patient's service in Scotland by: Promoting a uniform approach to continence and pelvic floor reconstruction management. Promote evidence based practice. To raise and set standards of training in pelvic floor function. Establishing a network for clinical exchange of experience and knowledge support worldwide. To establish a network of Urogynaecology/ Urology/ Colo-rectal clinicians, nurses doctors and/or units interested in collaborative clinical research throughout Scotland and beyond. 3. Support members in the process of continuous professional development. 4. To encourage the study and management of pelvic floor function including, but not limited to, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and faecal incontinence 5. Undertake new, and promote established, collaborative research projects.
