The charity exists to restore and display Alfred Corry wooden lifeboat, crewed by 16 men rowing & 2 sails but no engine. It is one of the oldest of its type & was in service in Southwold from 1893-1918. It is housed in the former Cromer lifeboat shed and was brought to Southwold
About Southwold Maritime Museum Charitable Trust
The charity exists to restore and display Alfred Corry wooden lifeboat, crewed by 16 men rowing & 2 sails but no engine. It is one of the oldest of its type & was in service in Southwold from 1893-1918. It is housed in the former Cromer lifeboat shed and was brought to Southwold by sea in 1998 and has also been substantially restored by us.
