SGC exists to advance religion by the following activities: - Worshipping God. - Equipping its members through Bible teaching, study and pastoral care and encouraging their active participation in the life of the church. - Administering the ordinances of baptism and communion. - Making known the gospel of Jesus Christ through preaching and personal evangelism, and any other means consistent with the teachings of the Bible. - Nurturing Christian fellowship, a sense of belonging and being a valued part of a loving, caring family among all who would consider SGC to be their church. - Supporting and encouraging participation in missions work, local, national, and international. - Bringing benefit to the community by serving individuals, families, churches and charitable groups in our local community, nationally and internationally by helping as we are able, to provide for practical, emotional and spiritual needs, in the name of Jesus Christ.
