The organisation’s purposes are: The relief of those in need by reason of having experience of prison and addiction. This will be achieved by activities such as engaging with prisoners within the prison setting, and promoting greater awareness of recovery in prison establishments. The advancement of health. This will be achieved with activities such as promoting and supporting recovery from addiction, improving physical health and mental well-being, and engaging with other organisations with similar aims. The advancement of education. This will be achieved with activities such as employing educational approaches in prison settings and promoting ongoing learning on an individual’s return to the community. The prevention or relief of poverty. This will be achieved by activities such as supporting reintegration back into the community, including supporting contact with housing and benefit agencies, and continuing to support those who have been released from prison. The advancement of citizenship and community development. This will be achieved by activities such encouraging involvement and participation in the planning and decision-making of activities, and facilitating recovery events both in and out of prison
