(a) the advancement of education of children and young persons who are in full time education by providing or assisting in the provision of facilities and opportunities which will enable them to take part in snow sport activities (including ski-ing and snowboarding and versions of these activities adapted for children) and thereby ensuring that due attention is given to their physical education. and (b) the organisation or provision (or assistance in the organisation or provision) of facilities for recreation in the interests of social welfare in any part of Scotland and elsewhere in the United Kingdom (with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities are primarily intended) either for persons who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social or economic circumstances or for members of the public at large.
