(1) To advance the arts, culture and cultural heritage in Northern Ireland (the "area of benefit"), in particular New Orleans jazz and second line parade performances, by: (i) promoting and presenting performances, parades, concerts and other events; (ii) promoting jazz as part of an expanded music education curriculum; (iii) encouraging and facilitating participation, particularly by young people, in jazz performances and parades; (iv) raising awareness, understanding and appreciation of New Orleans jazz and its associated traditions among the public. (2) To promote reconciliation, social cohesion, religious and racial harmony and equality and diversity through the medium of music and also through shared experience, cultural engagement and musical celebration. (3) To promote and publish research into the musical heritage of Deny and its environs.
