The Charitable Purposes of the Alliance ('the Charitable Purposes') are to relieve need anywhere in the world by increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of people and organisations working towards that end by: 3.1.1 contributing to international development by encouraging communication amongst people and organisations in Scotland committed to the elimination of inequality, poverty and discrimination worldwide. 3.1.2 increasing understanding of the international development sector in Scotland. 3.1.3 building the strength and capacity of the international development sector in Scotland. and 3.1.4 providing a forum to discuss and present opinion on key issues of international development with decision-makers within Scotland, the United Kingdom and beyond.
