The organisation's purpose is to: (a) Promote the well-being of the community and inhabitants of the parish of Stenness and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other protected characteristic or opinions by association with the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort to develop, support and promote educational, cultural, social and other leisure and recreational activities to the mutual benefit of the community. (b) This is carried out through the operation of a community centre and associated facilities for activities aimed at fostering a community spirit and improved quality of life for residents.
