(One) To encourage the performance, study, practice and knowledge of music primarily in Scotland, but also elsewhere throughout the world. (Two) In furtherance of the foregoing purposes to promote the work of the RSNO provided that the said work of the RSNO shall at the time be regarded as charitable within the meaning of section 505 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 or any other Act amending or replacing the same. (Three) Such other purposes as are recognised by law to be exclusively charitable and which relate to the performance, study, practice and knowledge of music as the Trustees may in their sole discretion decide.
