3.1. The Objects for which the Institute is established are the advancement of education and the advancement of health for the public benefit, in particular through the provision of funding to the University of Aberdeen: a) To advance understanding of the mechanisms underlying nutrition in human beings. and b) To conduct or support research into the underlying mechanisms of nutritionally related disorders and diseases using relevant technologies and to have the outputs of this research exploited and used by the most appropriate means to improve the health and wellbeing of human beings.
