4 The SCIO has been formed to benefit principally the community of Roslin which comprises the MN4F area of Midlothian West electoral ward (“the Community”) with the following purposes: (a) The advancement of community development (including the advancement of rural regeneration) principally within the Community. to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development broadly in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) as seen in https://sdgs.un.org/goals. (‘sustainable development’ means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.).
