4.1 Advancement of health. To advance health for the public benefit, particularly among people affected by drug addiction, alcohol dependency and substance misuse, by providing non-clinical recovery support, relapse-prevention and wellbeing support, peer and mentoring support, and pathways or referrals to appropriate specialist services. 4.2 Relief of those in need. To relieve people and families in need by reason of ill-health, disadvantage, poverty or social exclusion arising from addiction or substance misuse, including through practical support, recovery reintegration, signposting and assistance to access appropriate services. 4.3 Advancement of education. To advance education for the public benefit in relation to addiction, substance misuse, prevention and recovery through structured learning, awareness activities, workshops, recovery education, life-skills learning and information resources. 4.4 In pursuing these purposes, the Charity shall not present itself as a clinical treatment provider unless and until it has the appropriately qualified personnel, governance arrangements, permissions and other requirements necessary for such provision. Where medical, detoxification, psychotherapy, clinical counselling or other regulated or specialist treatment is required, the Charity shall signpost or refer beneficiaries to appropriate qualified, statutory or specialist providers.
