ProMo | Montrose Development & Improvement SCIO is established solely for charitable purposes within Section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and exclusively for the public benefit. The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 Advancement of the arts, heritage, culture, and science by promoting and conserving Montrose’s built heritage and cultural identity through public exhibitions, events, heritage interpretation, and educational programmes. 4.2 Delivering inclusive learning opportunities—such as workshops, talks, film screenings, and participatory activities—on sustainability, local history, placemaking, and environmental awareness. 4.3 Organising public awareness campaigns, educational activities, and community events that encourage sustainable living, climate, heritage awareness, and ecological stewardship.
