4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 To establish and run a transport museum 4.2 to advance the education of: 4.2.1 the public by the provision of a museum for historic passenger carrying and commercial vehicles 4.2.2 members by providing training in the skills needed to maintain heritage vehicles 4.3 to advance heritage by: 4.3.1 promoting the restoration and preservation of historic passenger carrying and commercial vehicles 4.3.2 providing a safe secure restoration facility for heritage vehicles 4.3.3 by facilitating attendance of heritage vehicles at community events 4.4 to contribute to the community development by: 4.4.1 operating a visitor attraction in the form of a museum for historic passenger carrying and commercial vehicles. 4.4.2 providing, where possible, investment and employment opportunities in the local area 4.4.3 where necessary rehabilitating a previously out of use building
