3.1 The Charitable Purposes of the SCIO ('the Charitable Purposes') are to benefit the residents of Pittenweem and the surrounding area (lithe community') by managing Pittenweem New Town Hall as a focus for community activities and associating with voluntary organisations, local authorities and the community in a common effort to advance education, alleviate social isolation, promote equality, appreciate diversity within the community, and provide facilities and events in the interests of social welfare
