The purposes of the Trust are: 1) The advancement of the performing arts of ballet, dance and mime and in particular to promote the ballets and choreographic works of the late Peter Darrell (hereinafter referred to as 'the Darrell Ballets'). 2) To commission, promote and conduct research into the Darrell Ballets and other ballets and choreographic works and to publish, present and communicate the results of such research and to establish and maintain a research archive. 3) To advance the education and training of dancers, choreographers and technicians involved in the performance, composition and staging of works of ballet, dance and mime by the making of grants or otherwise.
