4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and to provide, as a declaration of Christian faith, spiritual and emotional support to vulnerable people throughout Scotland. The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 The relief of those in need by reason of substance misuse, ill-health caused by substance misuse, mental health, financial hardship, isolation or other disadvantage. 4.2 The advancement of education through the provision of information and practical work experience. 4.3 The prevention or relief of poverty by providing food and other services. 4.4 The advancement of health and the saving of lives through support for people in addiction, e.g., through placements in Christian rehabilitation centres.
